Interesting recording courtesy of Dave Rowbotham and two other alumni of Durutti Column. This album is a far-cry from Durutti Column, however, with the Mothmen favoring a jarring blend of oil pastel grime to the chalky refinement characteristic of LC. This album contains some delightful dub-influenced dervishes and Wire-inspired jams, with the spacier sounds culminating in a dissonant post-punk perambulation that clocks in at 20 minutes. About as 1981 as it gets!
